CXD-203: Managing App and Desktop Solutions with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.6

The Managing App and Desktop Solutions with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.6 course provides students with the skills required to effectively support a Citrix application and desktop virtualization solution in a Windows Server 2012 R2 environment.

During this course, students will learn how to successfully manage, monitor, support and troubleshoot a XenDesktop 7.6 solution, which includes growing the implementation to accommodate changes in the environment (adding new applications, new users, new desktops, and new policies) and troubleshooting common issues.

CXD-230 XenApp and XenDesktop 7.7 and 7.8 Release Training

This course is designed for students with previous XenApp and XenDesktop experience, who are interested in learning about leading practices and new functionality in the 7.7 and 7.8 releases. Learn about architectural changes, management enhancements, and how to get the most out of XenApp and XenDesktop 7.7 and 7.8 through real world scenarios. Students will have access to hands-on exercises within a virtual lab environment to configure and test features including AppDisks with AppDNA and Zones. At the end of this course students will be prepared to upgrade their environments and deliver new functionality to end users.

CXD-300: Deploying App and Desktop Solutions with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.6

The Deploying App and Desktop Solutions with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.6 course CXD-300, provides students with the skills required to successfully deploy a complete Citrix hosted application and desktop virtualization solution in a Windows Server 2012 R2 environment.

Throughout this course, students will learn how to configure an environment that includes the following Citrix components: XenServer, XenDesktop, Citrix License Server, MCS, PVS, Personal vDisk, StoreFront, NetScaler (ICA Proxy, Load Balancing, Endpoint Analysis), and Citrix Receiver.

Upon course completion, students will be able to build a XenDesktop 7.6 environment from scratch and test the implementation to ensure that all components work as expected and that both internal and external end users can access XenDesktop resources successfully.

CXD-301 Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Advanced Concepts – Optimizing the End User Experience

In this course students will learn how to optimize an environment to deliver a great user experience. Starting with user end point and Citrix Receiver, the course covers advanced configuration options to optimize the delivery of their apps and desktops. Students continue with enhancing the StoreFront experience through custom branding and advanced customization options. Finally, course attendees will learn how to optimize the VDA for a better experience with printing, user data and multimedia and graphics.

CXD-302 XenApp and XenDesktop Advanced Concepts – Troubleshooting

In this course students learn how to troubleshoot complex end user and infrastructure issues through the use of support tools, Insight Services, and the PowerShell SDK. The course follows a troubleshooting methodology using real world support issues as example scenarios to demonstrate how to identify and remediate issues with the proper tools. At the end of the course students will have the skills they need to diagnose and remediate failures with a faster time to resolution and to identify the root cause to prevent future occurrences.

This course was created in conjunction with Citrix Support and Citrix Consulting to identify the top support issues and incorporate them into the hands on lab exercises. All lab exercises in this course are based on real issues. This course has intensive lab exercises using the same tools that Citrix Support uses on support cases.

CMB-300: Deploy and Manage XenApp-XenDesktop 7.6 Fast Track Overview

This fast-paced Citrix Desktop Virtualization Fast Track course CMB-300 provides students the skills required to successfully deploy and support a complete Citrix hosted application and desktop virtualization solution in a Windows Server 2012 R2 environment.

Throughout this course, students will learn how to configure an environment that includes the following Citrix components: XenServer, XenDesktop, Citrix License Server, MCS, PVS, Personal vDisk, StoreFront, NetScaler (ICA Proxy, Load Balancing, Endpoint Analysis), and Citrix Receiver. Upon course completion, students will be able to build a XenDesktop 7.6 environment from scratch, test the implementation to ensure that all components work as expected, and successfully manage, monitor, and troubleshoot a XenDesktop 7.6 solution.

By the nature of this course, it includes intensive hands-on labs and lecture sessions that run longer and also students are expected to select study some modules as guided by the instructor to achieve the course objectives.

CXD-105: Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Helpdesk Support

The Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop Helpdesk Support eLearning course provides Helpdesk representatives with the skills required to effectively troubleshoot and resolve end user issues faster, prevent issues from reoccurring and use the proper consoles during troubleshooting to quickly determine the root cause of user issues within a XenApp or XenDesktop environment.

Students will leave class with the ability to complete helpdesk tickets thoroughly, troubleshoot user issues, including interpreting user needs, asking the proper questions to resolve common issues, and applying documentation practices when troubleshooting to ensure a smooth transition when escalation is necessary.

CXD-400: Designing App and Desktop Solutions with Citrix XenDesktop 7.x

This course provides students with the ability to successfully assess and design a XenApp and/or XenDesktop virtualization solution based on the top key projects and architectures that a majority of Citrix customers implement, across different industries and use cases. Students may also have an opportunity to build a design for their organization and will have access to all of the tools and reference materials required to support their work.

CXA-206: Citrix XenApp 6.5 Basic Administration

The Citrix XenApp 6.5 Basic Administration course CXA-206, provides the foundation necessary for administrators to effectively centralize and manage applications in the datacenter and instantly deliver them as a service to users anywhere.

Learners will receive training for installing and configuring Citrix XenApp 6.5 for Windows Server 2008 R2, Citrix Receiver and plug-ins, as well as for using administrative consoles and tools to configure resources, policies, server and farm settings, printers, virtualized applications and more.
